Join us for a day of learning how to support social-emotional development and literacy skill-building in your childcare setting. There will also be opportunities for peer networking and lots of fun along the way! Providers will have the option to pick one class in the morning and one in the afternoon.
Morning (10 a.m. – 12 p.m.):
CSEFEL Infant/Toddler 1.1: Understanding Infant/Toddler Social Emotional Development (MiRegistry Event ID: 37261). In this training, participants will define social/emotional development in infants and toddlers and describe how it unfolds in the context of caring relationships.
OR
Reading Fun for Everyone (MiRegistry Event ID: 37277). In this training, participants will learn the importance of reading with infants and toddlers, about building relationships with infants and toddlers through reading and storytelling, and strategies for reading with infants and toddlers.
Afternoon (1-3 p.m.):
Caregiver Interactions (MiRegistry Event ID: 37673). In this training, participants will learn techniques to enhance caregiver-child interactions.
OR
Learning Through Song and Rhyme (MiRegistry Event ID: 37300). In this training, participants will learn simple songs and finger plays, the strategies of separate and simplify, and how to build in choice when doing songs and finger plays. Along with the importance of phonological awareness and how to make nursery rhymes interactive and engaging.
Childcare providers can register at miregistry, a statewide data system for professionals, trainers, and organizations to verify and track employment, training, and educational accomplishments.
