Oakland Family Services' Parent Advisory Council (PAC) and Teen Advisory Council (TAC) provide support and safe spaces for teens and their parents.

These FREE support groups are open to the public and provide ways for teens and parents to:

— Express their concerns
— Learn better communication techniques
— Empower themselves so they can advocate/speak up for their needs at school and in the community
— Form friendships and connections

The PAC and TAC meet together or separately and discuss topics including mental health and tips for success at home, in school and at work. Groups are peer-led by support partners from Oakland Family Services' Specialized Services for Youth program.
