Flagstar Bank is helping Oakland Family Services build brighter futures for its clients thanks to a $7,500 donation.

Michael McIntosh, training team lead at Flagstar Bank, said Oakland Family Services’ mission of providing individuals and families the opportunity to build brighter futures is one that Flagstar Bank shares. Flagstar chose the agency to receive funds raised through the bank's Go Casual for a Cause fund.

“We have volunteered here for the Adopt-A-Family program and have developed a relationship with Oakland Family Services,” McIntosh said. “We try to give back to the community as much as possible and through Adopt-A-Family, it’s really nice to help out people in Pontiac. Not everyone can afford Christmas gifts.”

Flagstar Bank has been involved with Oakland Family Services in a variety of other ways. The bank has hosted a table at the agency’s Building A Brighter Future Breakfast, invited agency representatives to tour Flagstar, and selected Oakland Family Services in 2015 to receive Go Casual for a Cause funds.

Oakland Family Services President/CEO Jaimie Clayton said the agency values its ongoing partnership with Flagstar.

“The staff at Flagstar have been wonderful supporters of Oakland Family Services through both volunteering and financial support,” she said. “This check will help us continue to meet the mission of building brighter futures through prevention, education and treatment. Their contributions truly help impact lives and change futures.”
