One Big Sky: Preschoolers venture on an imaginary trip to the moon with Sesame Street muppets

With the help of Big Bird, Elmo and their friend from China, Hu Hu Zhu, preschoolers went on an exciting, imaginary trip to the moon Oct. 28 as part of the PNC Grow Up Great mobile planetarium show. While exploring the sky, they learned about the basic principles of math, geometry and physics, and about each other’s cultures. The portable dome travels to early childhood education centers where children may otherwise not have the opportunity to visit a planetarium.

Thanks to PNC for providing this unique experience and for helping to prepare our preschoolers at the Children’s Learning Center for kindergarten and beyond!
