National Adoption Awareness Month: Twin boys find loving and caring parents through adoption
When the twins arrived at Thayer and Sarah’s home with garbage bags containing their belongings, the boys had experienced a lot of trauma in the short seven months since they were born. The babies were unable to bond with the couple and had noticeable developmental delays. Through the love and support of Thayer and Sarah, the 4-year-old boys are now showing affection and thriving. The couple adopted the twins in 2017 through Oakland Family Services, where they also became licensed foster parents. As part of National Adoption Awareness Month, celebrated every year in November, watch this video about Thayer and Sarah’s journey as foster and adoptive parents.
