Preschoolers get moving and grooving with Take Root dance group

Preschoolers at the Oakland Family Services Children’s Learning Center in Pontiac were treated to a creative movement workshop from Take Root dance company on Feb. 12.

Students in the center’s after-care program put their gross motor skills to work by trying out new exercises, moving like their favorite animals and dancing their wiggles out!

Take Root is a nonprofit in-residence at Oakland University. Its mission is to impact lives through dance — in part through its Arts Education Outreach program.

Thank you, Take Root, for partnering with Oakland Family Services and getting our students up and moving!
