Open house event shares inspiring glimpse into the work of Oakland Family Services

Visitors braved a winter storm to learn about Oakland Family Services’ programs during an Open House on Feb. 26 at our Pontiac office.

Guests took a tour of the agency to hear firsthand from clients how our prevention, education, and treatment programs are building brighter futures. During the 20-25 minute walking tour, they visited the Children’s Learning Center, Specialized Services for Youth, Early Childhood, Foster Care and Adoption, and Project Recovery Intensive Services for Women (PRISM), an intensive substance use disorder program focused on the unique needs of mothers in recovery. At each stop, a client and staff member discussed how that specific program has made a difference in the lives of the clients we serve.

In addition, guests enjoyed dinner and networking, were welcomed by Board Chair Betsy Meter and President & CEO Jaimie Clayton, and heard from mom Michelle about how Oakland Family Services’ Children’s Learning Center has made a positive impact on her 2-year-old twins, Liam and Ella and their entire family.
