What we are thankful for this Thanksgiving

Oakland Family Services has a lot to be thankful for this year.

We're thankful for every volunteer who has shared time with us. We're thankful for every generous donor who has invested their own hard-earned money into the futures of the families and individuals we serve.

We're thankful for every client who walks through our doors, and we're thankful for those who open their own doors to our home-based services.

We're thankful for the opportunity to watch every child in our Children's Learning Centers grow and learn throughout the year. We're thankful for the parents who drop their children off each morning and trust us to provide them with love, care and knowledge while they're away.

We're thankful for every foster and adoptive family who has opened their home and their hearts to children who needed their love the most, and for the foster and adopted children who have taught us about resilience.

We're thankful to every community partner who has paid us a visit, sent a client our way, strategized solutions and celebrated successes with us, and joined us in strengthening the communities we serve.

We're thankful for every grant that has given us much-needed resources to help our programs touch as many lives as possible.

Last, but certainly not least, we are thankful for the members of our staff who tirelessly dedicate their time, energy and expertise to building brighter futures every single day.
