Children’s Foundation to host 2022 Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health Summit

Oakland Family Services is excited to be sponsoring the 2022 Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health Summit, an initiative of the Children’s Foundation! Our focus on youth mental health is at the core of many of our services — with programs like Parents as Teachers and our Children’s Learning Centers building social-emotional skills for our littlest clients and working alongside our behavioral health programs, Specialized Services for Youth and Day One, to make sure children and families have tools to grow, cope and thrive together.

The Children’s Foundation is an important partner of Oakland Family Services and most recently provided grant funding for the Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation program, which provides mental health services for the students at our Children’s Learning Centers in Pontiac and Walled Lake. The foundation’s Summit is an excellent opportunity for parents, providers and educators to expand their knowledge of behavioral health and dive deep into topics that affect Michigan youth.

2022 Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health Summit

From yourchildrensfoundation.org:

Date and time:

April 12, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. (lunch included)

Location:

The Inn at St. John's
44045 Five Mile Rd.
Plymouth, MI 48170

Why you should attend:

Today, 1 in 5 children experience a behavioral health crisis including substance use, mood disorders, ADHD, and others. Of the children who suffer, fewer than 20 percent ever receive proper treatment. That’s why we invite you to join us for our 2022 Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health Summit — because given the right tools, every child can be on the path toward a happier, healthier future.

This event will be filled with enlightening and valuable information from professionals and insiders addressing a variety of critical topics related to trauma and recovery from pandemic-related fear and anxiety, suicide, substance use disorder, autism spectrum disorder, body image and eating disorders, and more!

The Summit is intended for clinicians, social service providers, educators, parents, and anyone else who works with youth.
