A night to remember: Oakland Family Services' 100th anniversary celebration
On May 14, nearly 150 people gathered to celebrate a unique milestone: Oakland Family Services’ 100th anniversary. Guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, music and entertainment from The Bluewater Kings Band and The Dance Pavilion at the Bloomfield Hills Country Club.
Those in attendance had the opportunity to hear from Board Chairman Ron Hillard, President and CEO Jaimie Clayton, and Board Member Kait Mortiere, whose family was changed just a few years ago by the adoption of her younger brother and sister from Oakland Family Services.
“You could truly feel the joy and passion of all those that joined us that evening,” said Director of Development Kristin Benton.
Following the program, guests had the opportunity to win raffle prizes, including Elton John tickets, sports memorabilia packages, spa packages and much more.
“We are so fortunate to have such dedicated board members, donors, volunteers and staff committed to our community,” Benton said. “It’s because of them that we have been able to weather so much and remain strong as we look forward to the next 100 years.”
Katie Henwood, engagement and special events coordinator, said, "The event would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the planning committee, the contributions from our sponsors and the support from the guests who attended. We are sincerely thankful to all!"
All donations will support Oakland Family Services as we prepare to enter our second century of service to southeast Michigan.
