Oakland Family Services publishes 2019-20 annual report
Oakland Family Services is excited to share the release of our 2019-2020 annual report.
The annual report looks back on how Oakland Family Services has built brighter futures throughout the last century, zeroing in on what the past fiscal year brought to our agency, as well as the ways that our staff, donors and volunteers pivoted to ensure continuity of our prevention, education and treatment services through the coronavirus pandemic.
The report includes a financial report, a list of donors and special stories from the individuals and families we serve, as well as some of the year’s highlights, including:
In prevention, our Early Childhood Services completed more than 3,000 home visits with families, meeting with parents through Zoom to ensure that they are equipped with the skills and support they need to foster their children’s development.
In education, our Children’s Learning Centers persevered through classroom closures at the start of the pandemic, providing educational videos and delivering 130 packets of learning materials and 1,000 school meals per week to at-risk families.
In treatment, the clinicians in our Day One and Specialized Services for Youth programs provided online mental health services to more than 2,200 members of our community, helping children, teens and adults to cope with existing mental health conditions as well as depression, anxiety, grief, uncertainty and trauma brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.
