Foster and adoptive home recruiter discusses rising need for foster homes, misconceptions about fostering
During the coronavirus pandemic, Oakland Family Services has seen a huge surge in need for foster homes, especially homes willing to take in school-age children and teenagers. Each day, our agency receives requests for foster home placement for 20 to 30 children and teens, and there simply aren’t enough foster homes to go around.
