Building Brighter Futures Breakfast is back in-person
“Due to the pandemic, this will be our first in-person breakfast since 2019. This event is critical in raising funds to support our mission – providing individuals and families the opportunity to build brighter futures through a continuum of prevention, education, and treatment services that span the human life cycle, enrich the lives of children, strengthen families, and rebuild lives,” said Jaimie Clayton, CEO/president of Oakland Family Services.
This year’s theme for the breakfast is “Resilience.” It will be held 8-9 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.
Come learn how Oakland Family Services has changed the lives of those in the community through its prevention, education, and treatment programs during our 9th annual Building Brighter Futures Breakfast.
Funds raised at the breakfast impact over 40,000 people each year! Just to give a few examples:
Nearly 95% of individuals seeking treatment for depression and anxiety reported decreased symptoms and improved social, family and work functioning.
Children completing preschool achieved developmental and social gains well above the benchmark in 100% of skill categories, preparing them to enter kindergarten ready to learn.
In specialized treatment, 100% of adolescents ages 7-21 completing services reported improved functioning in areas such as home, school, social relationships, and emotional regulations.
